According to the official website of the Ministry of public security on September 12, on September 11, at the request of the Russian Interior Department, the Chinese police deported doroshenko, a Russian drug-related fugitive, from Shanghai Pudong Airport and handed him over to the Russian side. Before the repatriation, representatives from relevant departments of Russia and China held a handover ceremony in Shanghai to sign the Memorandum for transferring suspects.

It is reported that doroshenko was suspected of smuggling drugs in 2012 and then absconded from Russia. In June 2013, Interpol issued a red notice to it. At the request of Russia to help catch and transfer Dorochenko, a drug related criminal suspect, China's Ministry of public security deployed many police to carry out verification quickly, and arrested it in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province in July 27th this year.
The relevant person in charge of the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security said that China and Russia are important member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In recent years, the cooperation between the two sides in narcotics control has been good, and the cooperation between the drug law enforcement departments of the two sides in online search verification, evidence exchange and suspect repatriation has achieved remarkable results. The successful repatriation of doroshenko is another major achievement of the two sides in implementing relevant cooperation agreements and jointly combating drug crimes.
