At present, the area of jujube forest in Liulin County is 280000 mu, mainly distributed in Sanjiao Town, gaojiagou Township, Shixi Township, Xuecun Town, mengmen town and other five towns along the Yellow River, with an annual output of 30 million kg of jujube. In recent years, Liulin County has fully implemented the Revitalization Strategy of red jujube, promoted the planting of new red jujube forest, the high grafting of old jujube trees, the improvement of red jujube varieties, the prevention and control of fruit cracking and the development of functional foods such as red jujube drinks, and comprehensively accelerated the transformation and upgrading of jujube industry.
Liulin County government invests nearly ten million yuan every year to build three types of demonstration parks with a total area of 20000 mu. At present, 20 standardized management demonstration parks have been built, including Lianghekou demonstration park in Qianyan village, Shixi Township, zaowa village demonstration park in Sanjiao Town and red ganoderma lucidum demonstration park in Sanjiao Town. There are more than 120 small and medium-sized jujube deep-processing enterprises in the county, which can process and transform 120 million kg of original jujube every year. They process and produce more than 20 primary processing products such as honey jujube, Gong jujube and Tan jujube, which are exported to India, South Africa, Britain, the United States, Brazil and other countries.
During the Tourism Festival, Liulin County will hold the Yellow River Tourism sailing ceremony of "sailing mother river, red moving new willow forest". Tourists can visit general Liu Zhidan memorial hall, Red Army East expedition square, Film Museum and participate in jujube garden picking activities. At the same time, it will also hold the activities of Liulin red jujube certification and "sending technology into the field" to revitalize agriculture through science and technology, invite relevant experts and scholars to Liulin for certification and traceability of Liulin red jujube quality, and invite provincial agricultural and forestry experts to jujube garden for technical training on Jujube planting and management.
