It is reported that the submarine was found by the Japanese self defense force when sailing northwest on the morning of September 10. Its sea area is located in the eastern sea area of Amami island between Kyushu Island and Okinawa. When the submarine was still in the diving state, it was considered to be a Chinese submarine, because a northbound Chinese 052d missile destroyer was found in the nearby waters on the morning of the 11th.
It is reported that on the morning of the 12th, the Chinese submarine reached the southwest sea area of Yokohama Island, Japan. Yokohama island is uninhabited and about 32 nautical miles away from Amami island.
Reported that Japan's defense minister Nobuo Kishi instructed the Defense Department to keep alert and collect all information.
