The funeral ceremony of the eighth batch of martyrs of the Chinese people's volunteers in South Korea was held in Incheon, South Korea, on the 1st.

China and South Korea will jointly hold a handover ceremony of the remains of the Chinese people's volunteers in South Korea at Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 2nd. The two sides will hand over the remains and related relics of 109 Chinese people's volunteers in South Korea.
From August 30 to September 2, a Chinese handover delegation composed of the Chinese Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Foreign Liaison Department, the office of the central network security and Information Technology Commission, the Ministry of foreign affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission went to South Korea to implement the handover of the remains of the eighth batch of Chinese people's volunteers in South Korea.
Following humanitarian principles and in the spirit of friendly consultation and practical cooperation, China and South Korea have successfully handed over the remains of 716 Chinese people's volunteers in South Korea for seven consecutive times from 2014 to 2020. This year is the eighth handover implemented in accordance with the consensus reached by China and the ROK.
